Standardisation, testing & Quality Certification (STQC) Directorate under
Department of Electronics, Government of India, has been set up to provide
services to various electronic industries at the national level towards
achievement/sustenance/improvement of quality of their products. Electronics
Test & Development Centre (ETDC), Indore, one of the laboratories under STQC
family, has been established with the primary objective of providing test &
calibration facilities to electronic industries in Madhya Pradesh and to educate
& assist these industries in quality improvement. The Centre, located at
Electronics Complex, Pardeshipura, Indore houses facilities for testing and
calibration of a variety of equipments. Optel has established a fully equipped
Extension Centre of ETDC at Bhopal to meet test and calibration needs of the
local industries more effectively.
The Center is equipped with state-of-the-art Test & Calibration equipments
having traceability to national/international standards. The Center is manned
by trained and skilled manpower which endeavors to provide prompt and efficient
services to the customers. The Center's activities are supported by STQC
Directorate of DoE which enables it to avail the services from DoE's other ERTL
and ETDC labs. The Test & Calibration services being provided are as follows:
In this case the customers bring the instruments/equipments to the Center for
test/calibration. After testing and calibration is completed, the customers
collect the equipment along with the calibration reports from the Center.
In case there are a number of equipments to be tested and calibrated at a
site, the Centre provides such facilities to customers by conducting the test
and calibration services at the site itself.
